The YEARBOOK of THINKING was founded by its founder and managing director in 2017. The yearbook is a "journal of German culture" and sees itself as a scholarly forum for the analysis of various cultural forms in their specifically German expression, as they manifest themselves in science, philosophy, literature, and art. It is defined by the spirit of a cosmopolitan European Germany, the connection between universalism and patriotism.

The YEARBOOK of THINKING is based on a concept of culture that assumes that, on the one hand, the essence of every culture can only be understood when the culture is viewed in its temporal extension across the past, present and future, but that, on the other hand, the development of a culture is influenced by contacts and mutual fertilization, thus opening up intercultural scope, and thirdly, that the source of inspiration for a culture can be seen in the underlying religion.

The YEARBOOK of THINKING examines the prevailing structures of thought in different times and eras. We assume that at the root of the diverse cultural phenomena, a system can be uncovered that influences all phenomena. It represents, as it were, the circulatory system that pulses through all the ramifications of culture. The study of these structures and their changes, i.e., an in-depth analysis of cultures of thought, is the fundamental theme of the yearbook.

The YEARBOOK of THINKING is published once a year and is open to all interested parties who feel connected to German culture in the European context, are fascinated by this culture and want to make a positive contribution to this culture.
